STIBET scholarship
As part of the DAAD-funded STIBET I programme, HSD Hochschule Döpfer awards scholarships to international students who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement and commitment.
Eligible applicants are
international students at HSD Hochschule Döpfer who are not German citizens, are enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree programme, and did not obtain their university entrance qualification in Germany.
The following are not eligible:
- Students with German citizenship (even if they have dual citizenship)
- Exchange students who are only studying at HSD for one or two semesters
- Prospective students who are not yet enrolled
Eligibility criteria:
Funding is available to current students and new students at HSD Döpfer University who are enrolled at the university during the funding period and meet the following criteria:
- Demonstrable good to very good academic performance
- No concurrent funding from other scholarships during the funding period, regardless of the type or amount of payments
- Income limit: Total monthly income from scholarships, part-time jobs (including employment in part-time degree programmes) and social benefits (e.g. BAföG) must not exceed €1,595.
Sample calculation:
- Partial scholarship: €250 for five months
- Part-time job/social benefits: €1,345 gross
- Total income: €1,595 gross → limit reached
- If the income limit is exceeded, the scholarship must be reduced accordingly or the additional income must be reduced.
If you receive BAföG, your scholarship will not be reduced, but you must report this to the relevant BAföG office.
Application deadline: 31 May 2026
How to apply:
- Please compile all the necessary documents for your application. These include, in particular, a copy of your identity card or passport, a CV, a cover letter, evidence of voluntary work and – where applicable – proof of financial need.
- Complete the online application form by the deadline and upload all the required documents as a single PDF file.

DAAD Prize
With the DAAD Prize, the HSD Hochschule Döpfer honours international students who stand out for their excellent academic achievements or special social or intercultural commitment. The award is presented once a year at an internal university event and is endowed with €1,000.
The selection is made in consultation between the International Office, the HSD's Equal Opportunities Officer, the university management and the respective programme directors. It is not possible to apply directly for the DAAD Prize.
